Tara Manna, co-founder of Be beauty, is well known for her playful spirit, endless passion and enthusiasm for knowledge that loves life and tries to embrace every moment.  She believes that the best thing we can do for our careers, is to love what we do while enhancing other’s lives.  An entrepreneur at heart, Tara is thrilled to be putting her knowledge and inspiration into Be beauty, by helping other women look and feel beautiful.

Tara began her journey in the spa and beauty industry at a young age; first as a consumer.  The pursuits of her Bachelor of Arts degree lead her to the University of California Santa Cruz, an area well known for holistic therapy, homeopathies, organic foods, and natural beauty.  While in Monterey Bay, Tara found herself working in a spa and climbing her way up from a position supervising the front desk to Directing the operation.  It was at Sanctuary Day Spa where her love and passion for the industry was born!  “Seeing people walk through our doors, in need of personal time and healing, and being able to provide that to them was such a great position to be in.” 

Tara is a graduate of the San Diego Beauty Academy and a California Licensed Esthetician.  She is highly trained in skincare and waxing services among other holistic health accompaniments.  She owns her own skincare practice in addition to working with Spa Velia, San Diego’s best Day Spa.  Through her results-oriented approach Tara is dedicated to educating her clients and creating a partnership to find solutions to their skin, health and relaxation needs.

Tara is a frequent freelance writer for magazines in the spa industry including Les Nouvelles Esthetiques and Spa.  In addition her knowledge and understanding of the spa and beauty industry from an operational and consumer point of view has brought her to be a featured speaker at various spas and spa trade shows across the country.

Tara and Juju created Be beauty with the intention to support all women to embrace their beauty from inside and out.  It emerged as an answer to all women’s current lifestyle needs: more personal time.  Be beauty allows women to enjoy moments with friends and loved ones, while committing to make themselves feel and look better.  In addition, Be beauty offers the possibility for women to open Be beauty in their own area – which supports and creates more opportunities for women in the workplace.

Juju graduated from the San Diego beauty academy in 2000 and she is a certified Management Trainer from the School of Advertising and Marketing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is a strong advocate of ongoing and frequent education to stay on top of trends within the spa and skincare industry. As a result, her product and treatment training with countless skincare lines is impressive.

Juju created unique ways to live “the skincare lifestyle” as a professional and as a spa “goer”. By applying her philosophical and original techniques combined with her extensive skincare knowledge, and leadership style, she has a growing list of high profile clients. Organizations such The Sporting Club at the Aventine in La Jolla and the great Spa Velia, voted the best Day Spa in San Diego by the consumer and many other business publications where she united with owners and directors to the greater good of the wellness community. 

She is a frequent guest on local television programs and contributor to trade publications; among other ventures she gets involved to be a beauty resource to our society.
Juliana became a mother of a little girl on February 2006 and she noticed her beauty needs changed forever. Juju realized that time to take care of herself became a luxury instead of a natural part of her life style.  After absorbing the consumer market for couple years, she had a breakthrough where she wanted to create a way for women to take care of themselves regardless of time and financial position.
